This is exactly what I'm looking to do for my Oval...
I want upgraded braking, but want to stick w/ 15" Fuchs (earlies).

What parts did you use for everything? I would prefer to use new (if available) parts.

Thanks!

new? You must have money to burn, Those calipers are $500+ each new. New rotors and pads is one thing but....

Wow, I didn't realize they were so pricey.
I really want the look of Big Reds, and this is a project.

I guess I'll start saving my lunch money now

Big reds are even more. I bought used calipers and painted them up see here. http://www.germanlook.com/Forums/showthread.php?t=7571 with new rotors. Nothing wrong with good used parts.

Your brakes look superb! You should do a write up/article for the Tech section!
I see you stuck w/ Link Pin suspension, CB performance (lowered?) spindles.
That's my plan. I guess I'll have to stick w/ Boxster calipers to fit under my 15" fuchs.

What size rims are you going to run?

Thanks for the compliments. My 15" phonedials didn't fit so i'm going to 17" twists. I yes they are cb drop spindles, You can get away with with "certin" 15"s with a combo of spacers and "machining " calipers slightly, but not for me or my steup. Good luck with them.

i think the point is that you don't want to buy "new" ones. hit a junk yard or parts house and pick up a set of used calipers and associated hardware. you can pick up a whole set used cheaper than one caliper new.
