I have recently ordered from Griffin a modified for AN fittings Jeep Cherokee aluminum radiator. I will be running Mecca coolant which is propolene glycol that raises the boiling point to 340 without being a pressurized system. I will post pictures as I get it installed. My progress is slow now as I am real busy.

Thanks,
Randy

The car was built over the 03-04 winter.

Stock 901 trans, Kennedy adapter plate. I've got a 2.2L waiting to go in...as soon as I get the Miata engine in my MGB...(different project)

You can read about it on www.evanscooling.com

I have been using it in 454 powered wind machines for about ten years now. This coolant allows a smaller radiator or just a better margin of safety when the weather gets hot. With the wind machines we get heat soak as they run hard and then because of noise get shut down. While running we needed to get all the heat we could out of the coolant. Mecca/Evans works.

Thanks,
Randy

Are you planning on putting this radirator up front somewhere or in the back?

After taking a tape measure to mine, I can't see fitting anyting much bigger than a civic radiator up front (aprox. 14.5" X 17.5"). Which is where I would really like to put mine...

I'm hoping that since there are guys driving around with Civics making a lot more power than I will be, a good after market Civic radiator + good airflow will keep me cool...

How about a sirocco radiator? they're about 13" high, and about 23 inches long. in and out on the same tank as they're a double crossflow.

I talked with a guy from the Meyers Manx forum that's running a modified version of the Griffin Scirocco in his Manxter, up front, with WRX motor out back. He said it cools great, and it appears he's only running a single center-mount fan. He had Griffin relocate the inlet/outlet slightly to better fit the Manxter body. It measures the same as their standard Scirocco 22x13 model on the external dimensions.
I think that's the way I'll be going, but I'm going to see if they'll make up one a couple inches wider. 24" wide x 13" high would be perfect in my case (Deserter GT bodywork).
