Hi Steve
Quote:
Down the straight it was opening up an 8 to 10 car length advantage, however the owner hasn’t had it long and it was his first real outing and is still learning the car. It was a first time at that track for most of us on the day, so I guess it wouldn’t have helped him trying to learn a new track in a car he wasn’t use to. The trackday organizers have really strict rules about passing and the like, so when I was following him I could not get close enough to pass with out breaking the passing and cornering rules, however when he let me through I was opening about a 7-10 second gap per lap. I don’t expect to be able to hold that sort of gap for long, once he gets use to the car I think it will be me who will be holding him up. And I don’t think it will be long before he’s on the pace. It might be time I found some more horsepower, now where did I leave that money tree. My mate was laping in the 2m12-15 second bracket and I was doing 2m02 second bracket with a best of 2m flat, the 03was some where in between us. I’m waiting on some in car footage as I took someone for a ride who had a small handy cam, so with any luck I’ll have some more video to post shortly. Scott
