Good day Hugo,
I have asked this question before and i was always shown chassis like this. But i will post that question again. Can a tubular chassis be made so as to fit a vw beetle body over it retaining the original position of the engine. The upper sections of your chassis wouldn't be in the design this chassis would resemble the original chassis but only be tubular. |

I was looking at a 911 targa here in jamaica and i noticed that it didn't have any frame horns like the beetle. The engine and gearbox matting arrangement was similar to the type3. If a rear cage could be built along with the idea i gave you hugo and still allow the beetle body to mate to this new chassis that would be wonderful. The car would have a further weight reduction.
