water to air intercoolers

Has anyone went with a cooler of this sort. i have seen alot in air to air intercoolers but not any water to air coolers.

I considered it but putting the water into the engine with the fuel didn't seem to be a good idea though!!

Hi

Early Subaru Liberties used water 2 air intercooler. I've seen a few local Volks to Subaru conversion using them with great success.

I've never seen a water leak with one, I did have a few pressure leaks at the side on my old setup on my 1302.

thanks for the info i appreciate it. I've got several friends that use them on their mustang drag cars which are all mustangs with extremely large prochargers but i didn't know if anyone had tried it on the suby swaps. I know my friend has got a 408ci ford and has this type of cooler and gets close to 1400hp all day. I am not expecting that but i know it has got to make somewhat of a difference than the air to air or none at all for that matter.
