WBX 2.1L fuelinjection on a 2L type-4?

April 26th:
Finished the exhaust. Just one little seam I couldn't weld from the underside will be next time I go to the garage.

Now I just need to mount the cables so I can teststart the engine.

This month I almost was going to chicken out from the WBX fuelinjection installation...
So I bought a pair of BMW 2002 Solex PDSI 36-40's that I fitted on the stock manifolds with a little help from my brother once again.

He made me a pair of spacers/adapters for them..

One week ago I did the first teststart but it ran very bad.. Later that evening I remembered that I had left out the distance rings between the heads and cylinders (on purpose) but forgot to adjust the valves...

It was banging in both ends like firecrackers...

Yesterday I got the valves adjusted and teststarted once again.

Now it runs way much better...

I also decided to continue with the WBX fuelinjection conversion.
(Back on topic... )

Still need to find some info on what tempsensors and where they go on the engine to make the fuelinjection work properly..

Hi, it's a real good thing that you brother is a machinist. The adapter is top notch work. However that was good for you current application. Why not go ported injection, with the help of these. Your brother could help you go duals or mod a IDF stlyled intake manifold already in the market, by adding these injector bosses; you would have a real nice fuel system. These injector bungs are right up your alley, they come in steel or Aluminum. There prices are not bad either.
