After the summer, I gave back the 1.6 type1, and continued working on my type4. Actually the block itself is ready with all the goodies inside. I have to install the cooling, the carbs, the ignition, the exhaust and the oil-cooling system..so there are things to do. Here are some specs of the engine:
It will be a 2056 ccm engine for my daily driver - Stock crankcshaft + polished conrods + lightened flywheel (fully balanced) - 96 mm AA Pistons - Porsche 914 heads (Jake Raby 44/36 valves, 9,5:1 compression) - Jake Raby Super Valvetrain kit (Cam, gear, springs, retainers, keepers, pushrods etc.) - Willibald manifolds - bosch el. ignition - Porsche cooling - 228 mm Clutch - B.A.S. Exhaust - B.A.S. linkage for carbs - New Weber 44 IDFs - EARLS AN fittings - the exhaust doesn't allow me to use my dry-sump pump, so I have to go with the 30mm Schadek :-/ Some pics: ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()
