Finally the crosmember is done, When the body is on it's place i will modify the endpieces of the crosmember and probably do the bumb over again.



The heaterchannel was to long on the front and to short on the rear, I did not want to redrill my floor so I had to dismantle the channel.

The bottom of the channel will be mounted on the floor and then make the top fit.

Looks nice on the inside


Now that I opened the channel, I bare metaled the bottom and I will put some decent paint on it

After I painted the inside and bottom of the channel, I sprayed antirust on it and some inox spray on the welding areas. Now it was time to fit it in it's new position..
I placed the channel 1/2 an inch backwards on the bottomplate.


Back fits like a glove now.



The firewall can be mounted without a problem
