Jason,
Are you set on the beetle body ? Have you considered a tube frame chassis based set up ? I'm sort of in the same position, as the components that make up my beetle are worth more than the car they are bolted to. My car is not a daily driver, so I'm currently looking at a Porsche 356 coupe tube chassis, mid engined with a-arm front / rear suspension. My 2.4 T4 with 915 gearbox and wheels / brakes would swap over. Not a beetle anymore, but still unique. Something else to think about. Sandeep |
