Fitting a anti-sway bar to a narrowed front end (HELP)
Hi All,
I've just finished narrowing my front suspension by 3 inches, and am about to weld on some anti-sway bar mounts, but have discovered that my old anti-sway bar is too wide. How is the problem normally tackled. Do i bend the sway bar a little at each end to clear the trailing arms, or do I have to change to another type of sway bar. The bar I am using is a whiteline (14mm I think). Any suggestions would be appreciated. Cheers, Ian. |

I noticed that you mentioned a WhiteLine Swaybar. I know that Aircooled.net sells whiteline bars for narrowed front ends.
You'll have to get a narrowed bar for the setup to work correctly. Sandeep |

or you could try cutting and rewelding the bar (if you can narrow a beam im sure ul manage this)...?

By narrowing the beam, you are increasing the rate that the now narrower torsion leaves produce, in essence, you will have a stiffer ride. By narrowing the swaybar, you will also make the ride stiffer.
I'm not saying that the ride will be uncomfortable, but it will be stiffer for sure. Sandeep |
