Porsche 944 Turbo brakes on King and Link suspension
Hi all,
I've just recently finished converting some Porsche 944 brakes for my King and Link suspension beetle. I've used a machined bush method to get the disc on the CB dropped disc brake spindle using factory porsche bearing. To get the caliper on the spindle, I've slightly modified the spindle, and then cut and welded the calipers. The results look and work pretty well. I've just update my website with pictures of all the process at http://vwturbo66.port5.com. I've also submitted it as a tech article, but it hasn't been listed on the website yet. Cheers all, Ian Swinkels. |

Wicked...
Thanks for the information Ian, I'm gonna do this on my 62, it should work perfect. Do you have any more information on the caiper modifications? Is the caliper also from a 86 944 T? Thanks again.

I don't have much more info sorry. I wish I'd taken more pictures, but I've documented the process of the caliper modification and it will appear as a technical artical in the www.germanlook.com main page soon.
Cheers, Ian. |

Thanks Ian and Sandeep, I'm looking forward to the artical. I've wanted to install discs on the front for a while, now I know what to order and how to do it. Thanks.
