using a subaru clutch with vw box

hi, does anyone on here know or can check to see if the subaru clutch inner splines are the same as a volkswagen? the vw is 24 slots 21mm overall. pretty sure the subaru is 24 slots. this is for a 228mm type4/wasserboxer, i'm after a paddle clutch and am trying to make this as painless as poss thanky
