I am affraid it is just a standard 1600 at the moment. Got plans for a porsche engine one day lol! Just cant afford it yet!
I have had all new floor, new heater channels, new bulk head, some welding to the rear drivers side quarter and going to hopefully service the engine myself tomorrow, weather permitting! She was a none starter when I got her in November, so just great to have an MOT and be able to drive her at the min! |

Future plans
Porsche engine plans, sounds good. If you keep the type IV pretty close to stock, maybe 2.0 three bolt heads, you can keep cost down some. One of the 914 2.0 books that I have says you can be 100 horses from the 2.0.

Porsche Engine
Quote:
Hi, you really don't need the Porsche engine, just a rebuilt set of 2.0 three bolt heads. Maybe even choose a VW 411 ir 412 case, the Porsche case get used hard because it's a Porsche. The three bolts heads you will be, most likely will need overhauling. So hopefully plan to get a set on the cheap and then, be prepared to spend some on getting them like you like. Also remember try to stay as much stock as possible, or the price really starts to go up . The work you are looking at costs. |
