thanks a lot for the info that really helps. Im planning on getting discs for the rear and already installed them on the front. Now all i need to do is save up 2 grand for new wheels or find some used does anyone know what other porche wheels come with a 55mm offset. Ive read the topline article in the hot vws mag that 55mm was the only ofset to use and I was also wondering whats the largest diameter wheel can I use with out rubbing and still lower the front and rear Thanks

do some searches on here for more info, but 55mm is not your only option. it is one of the best if you are going to stay with stock fenders, but not the only. and remember that offset is relative to the width of the rim. a 55mm offset on a 7" is going to have a much different position that a ET55 on a 8" rim.

$2000 for wheels????? no, no, no. look around. if you have the time, you can find a much better deal. those rims should be no more than $1000-1200 tops. i got a set of 4-8.5" for $425. sold 2 of them for $400 and bought 2-7" at $600. check Wheel Enhancement as a minimum. not the best deals, but good quality and occasionally the special clearance deal. ebay is a great source. PelicanParts.com another.

I paid $925 for my boxster wheels from wheel enhancement in california\
they were new car takeoffs with less then 100 miles on them

I called them today and priced me at 550 a wheel brand new I think ill try to find some good used ones thanks for the info guys its a lot of help since im young and fairly knowleged at vws

you have to ask if them have any used wheels or new car take offs..

used they will be around $800 and new car take offs will be around $1000 (set)
