I was going to post and say mine had a hole in the shaft, screwdriver in the hole to unscrew it but trogdor beat me to it.

I checked and it srews out on a G50 as well (grip-tool, no screwdriver head present), but it also started to leak tranny oil immediately as well...so the hole goes through the case wall.
Not sure if this is the case with a 915 tho. |

I can confirm that on a 915/62 that this hole is actually a threaded boss that does not extend into the case.
Possibly this is the case for all 915 gearboxes. Sandeep |

The mounting boss on my '85 915 does not open into the case either.
