I have the CSP vented rotor kit that has expanded the track by about 10mm per side. I'm sure that doesn't help. On my car it looks great as it is sitting still with a nice flush look to the fenders...

I think this is usually done for emissions purposes on newer cars (since the mid 70's in the US) to prevent hydrocarbons from the crankcase from venting to the atmosphere. Still a good idea though....

and here's why. If you drill a hole in the sump, put a hose fitting on it, and plug the hose in to it, you've got a hose dangling around waiting to catch something as you're driving. If it snags...
